I believe the manga adaptation is likely going to just keep on going until it finishes adapting the entire light novels so it’d be interesting to see if it ends up changing the ending of the series at all.Toradora! ( Japanese: とらドラ!) is a Japanese light novel series by Yuyuko Takemiya, with illustrations by Yasu. It’s nowhere near as good as the anime adaptation but I had fun with it and I think that sums up my impression on the manga adaptation as a whole. There were some really funny visual gags and it didn’t cut a whole lot out. I didn’t finish the manga adaptation for this volume but I had good impressions on what I did read on it. The part towards the end with Santa!Ryuuji and Taiga is so freaking adorable and is the closest I’ve come to shipping those two. I don’t think there’s anything completely new to the anime either but it does extend some scenes and parts and I love Taiga and Ami’s christmas song. I don’t think the anime cut anything out of this volume and it even adapted the colour pages (Haruta’s dream). This volume is adapted in episodes 17-19. (Also, the anime exists and is even better than the light novel.) I will say that, when I watched the anime, I didn’t really understand when Taiga’s feelings towards Ryuuji started to change but I have a much better idea of what happened thanks to getting some of Taiga’s POV this volume so I’m able to understand it a lot better and enjoy it more.

It’s not and I accept that but I still wish it was. The reason why I didn’t rate this volume a 5/5 is because, even now that they are becoming more romantic, part of me still really wishes this was more of a platonic love story that challenges the idea that love between people of the opposite sex has to be romantic all the time.

It’s a lot of fun, even during the dramatic bits, and Taiga is just so incredibly charming. She claims it’s due to making a mistake in a baseball game, but it’s clear that she’s avoiding Ryuuji. Taiga fucking loves Christmas and has made it her mission to bring Ryuuji and Minori closer together, but Minori herself has been acting depressed. It’s Christmas time and the class decides to hold a Christmas party. Please check it out if you are interested in the series. Seas Entertainment has published this series in English so
